I kept getting what the real story. People believe me that was the story 100%. I am 37 whit female who was with a 35 year old black male. He had a traffic bench warrent, and I could not see he badge and name, i was face down on the ground. I use to trust cops and even more i use to want to be one, but no longer look after the best for the people. I was treated messed up. I understand them hand cuffing me, and even the on the ground thing, but hitting me in the mouth, thats messed up. I am a mother of 2 and i follow the laws. But if I no longer respect cops and only fear them, well do you really think that is good? If you dont know what im talking about refer to last question i wrote, Are all cops dirty. What makes it worse is other cops know that their counter parts are dirty and will still take up for them, Shame.

I have never been arrested and have never been in any trouble. I work my 40+ a week and I dont even drink anymore. Face it people, cops have a block on their shoulder. I dont care to press charges, no need nothing will be done. I use to think cops were cool, until i moved to PG county. But cops here are not good.

Sorry you had to go through all that. To answer your question though...not all cops are dirty. Not all comps immediately resort to violence to get control of a situation. Some of the way they act depends are where they work and what kinds of criminal conditions exsist. I was watching "cops" one night and saw this cops draw his weapon and each and every traffic stop. Not in a threatening way but just to let it be known that he was ready to go. Apparently it's the norm there. Here where I work as a cop...no way. If i so much as raised my voice to a motorist I would probably find myself in front of the chief with a complaint against me. We fill out paperwork each time we go hands on with someone. Which by the way has only happened a hand full of times for me. Most of those times someone was trying to actively hurt me or someone else. So to answer your question. No...not all cops are bad. and how aggressive they are depends largely on how dangerous the work situation is. u might not have a been a threat that night but if they frequently deal with elements that are armed and assaultive they are going to act more aggressively with everyone they deal with.

There are three sides to every story, your version, the cops version, and the truth. It is all about perception. 99% of the time the cops version of the events is the truth as it is usually backed up by a dash mounted video camera. I have seen people come in and lie to the police chief only to see him whip out the video. They usually get charged with filing a false police report.
The cop may have perceived you as a threat and that was why you were handcuffed. I HIGHLY doubt you got punched in the mouth. Go ahead and file charges against the officer. Just make sure your story is the truth or you could get hit with a criminal charge!
Oh yeah....Don't hang with hood rats and you won't deal with problems like this.

These cops nowadays are nothing but criminals in a pretty rag. Years ago you used to be able to trust the cops. Now you cant. They threaten to shoot and kill you just for looking at them, and fly off the handle without any reason whatsoever. I have seen PLENTY of people mishandled by the cops all over the place, because the court system is corrupt as well and the judges and prosecuters are all part of the problem. Heck I was in a courtroom where the JUDGE was admonishing a hooker and telling her not to lie about what she was doing because SHE, the JUDGE is ALSO a hooker by night and uses the same street corner! How messed up is THAT?

First, I resent your remarks about all cops are dirty. I'm not. If you chose to hang out with someone that had a warrant, even a traffic warrant, that's on you. I have yanked mothers out of cars because their children were driving and had warrants. Many times they want to me to explain what is happening but that isn't going to happen until I have control over the situation. That means everybody is cuffed up and I am confirming the warrant. Until then, there is no time to talk. For all I know, you may be a party to this criminal and be the one armed with a gun. Until I have you cuffed and searched, I don't know. It's to bad you have such a bad attitude since this is ALL on you for being in the car with someone that has warrants. Choose your friends wisely.

It just so happens that in my 20 years as a cop I have had the pleasure to work with my brother cops in PG county I find them professional and a very sharp unit. It sounds like you ran your mouth and acted like a Skell, the cop did what he had to do. As far as being hit in the mouth I doubt it, maybe you should pick better people to hang with. To answer your question there are so few dirty cops it is had to find a percentage. Most citizens who file complaints lie and in some case wind up being sued for slander, by the cop. How much injury did you suffer. If I had hit you in the mouth you would have been looking at serious time in a dentist chair.

I am offended by your remarks. I grew up in a family full of cops, and grew up in the sheriff department since my family was always there so I grew up with these people. I have a lot of respect for them. Sometimes, they make quick judgements of a situation, but it is done to PROTECT themselves. You obviously gave them a reason to act in this manner, and it has nothing to do weither or not you have been in trouble before. Plus, you didn't even really explain the situation in this statement, so obviously everyone is going to be on the cops side. Also, people can say anything that they want someone to believe on here.

That isn't being dirty. That cop wouldn't get in any trouble. Either way I applaud the cop. If you were giving him an attitude, then you deserved, if you were taking your time, then you deserved it. Either way you still deserve it. Why? you commited a crime. Criminals don't deserve respect. If you were speeding, thats a crime. You better respect cops, without cops. The world would be full of criminals; thiefs, rapist, murderers etc.
Hey "betterwithage", I don't know since "want-a-be" makes no sense. I suggest catching up on your vocabulary and grammar. When and if you begin spelling correctly and using decent grammar, people will most likely answer your questions, and not assume you're illiterate.
Like someone previous stated, just because one cop does something (wrong) doesn't mean all cops do as such. If a women insulted me for no reason, should I think all women are rude? No I should not.

Being dirty usually refers to taking money, bribes, stealing drugs, that aort of thing.....your case seems to be more one of excessive force.....did either of you mouth off in any way?..ask questions loudly and in an agressive manner?....say things like"hey, whats this crap all about?"......be honest...your reactions to what the officer is saying contributes a lot towards what happens to you...the fact you are white and the dude was balck has very little meaning nowadays....its that mouth that people get and the attitude that causes most problems...the place to address whether or not the officer is right to arrest or search or whatever seems to be the problem is in the court that issued the warrant,or the jusdges or chiefs office, not on the roadside at 2am or whenever.....shut up,take whatever is going down quietly and deal with it later......"I know my rights",usually means you dont know squat about "your rights".....sorry you had probelms,I didnt get to read your other post....good luck
