I was reading the Old Testament and was wondering what are the Christian and Jewish beliefs about Ezra.

Ezra's theme is the return from captivity of the Jews of Babylon
to Jerusalem. The return was ordered by King Cyrus. The spiritual message is the power of the Lord in human life. Ezra's account was actually the return of the second colony of Jews and they rebuilt the temple. The main theme is divine protection.
I know what you may be thinking. The rebuilding of the temple. This is a historical piece, and holds no extreme or special importance.
