Ok if you want to put on weight. Write down everything you normally eat for one day. Add up all the calories. Then add 500 calories to your normal diet. Add 250 calories when you stop gaining after two weeks this way also help you. You will see a 1 or 2 pound increase per week any more than that is unhealthy. Lots of sleep is also good. Go to the gym and weight train only no cardio. Eat about six small meals a day. You want to spread your calories out. So eat one small meal every 2 to 3 hours. Drink a about a half gallon of water a day. Stick to high protein low sats, lean meats, rice, pasta, fruits veggies and nuts. Muscle and Fitness mag has a lot of great tips too. Hope this helps you.

You might not think yourself lucky, but fat people think you are!
The key to weight gain is the same as for weight loss-FATS. If you want to gain weight eat fatty foods BUT you must eat GOOD fats if you don't want to get sick and want to help your body be at its best. Those are: Olive oil, Coconut oil, peanut oil (there are others--check the internet). Some butter and cream is fine but don't go nuts on saturated fats found in dairy and meat.
Avocados can be eaten as much as you want--they are an excellent fat. Salmon and tuna can be eaten every day for the great fat they contain. And don't forget peanut butter! Get the pure unadulterated brand and have at it! Nuts and seeds are also great for their beneficial fat content. Eggs are also quite fatty but don't eat too many each day--they do contain saturated fat as does milk.
Try not to drink with your meals. Liquids dilute your food in the stomach and you don't digest it as well. Chew your food well as it helps the body absorb and digest it. A load of calories is used to digest food so you might want to eat bigger meals less often, if you can.
If you're constantly busy and active, you might try slowing down a bit and relaxing more. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and whole grains to keep your body fit and healthy.
