Sounds pretty cool. Would raise the same note of caution as some others - you could say that when the hijackers on 911 died, they rejoiced and the world cried, but linguistic niceties aside, it sounds like a good way to approach the whole living and dying business. Live in such a way that you are able to leave with a sense of fulfillment, and the world weeps that you are taken from them quite so soon. Like Mother Theresa, in fact.

Sounds pretty selfish. This could be the credo of a serial killer. No offence, but it does. Change the end to ...and the world rejoices with you. Then you have something worth talking about.

I agree with the quote.
Sounds like a good philosophy, to live your life that the world cry's when you are no longer in it and when you die you are peacefully knowing that you lived you life fully.

Pretty much. You come from heaven and cry, because this world is cruel compared to heaven. By living a faithful life and asking for forgiveness of sins, you leave this world to go back there. If you take the "world" as the sinners that go to hell, this quote is quite true to me. All sinners without forgiveness in their hearts go down crying to eternal torment in the rivers of flame.

It's spot on. To be comfortable with death and to be happy to move on sounds wonderful, yet for those we leave behind if we live a life filled with love, they may very well cry at your passing.

i agree totally with this.

unfortunatly i dont think people live that way. may people in the world today build castles for themselves and when they leave, the world dosnt moarn. but they rejoice becuase the world is rid of another who thought of themselves. there are people like this and though its sad it is reality.

It's a beautiful concept isn't it. Impact the lives of others often so that you bring joy to those around you...... even in the time of loss and sorrow, they will weep tears because of the amazing things you brought into their lives while you were on this planet.

I have to say I agree totally with this quote.
