Meticulously clean your house, vaccum everywhere, wash the dogs bedding, EVERYWHERE!!!! you can get a spray against fleas to apply on the carpet and furniture, AND go to the vets and ask for Revolution for dogs. It is amazing!
I have 2 rotties and 2 cats who got fleas.... and you know the fleas you actually see are only 5 % of your problem. I had so many that they were bitting us.
The revolution took care of the problem in such a short time. Depending on how much of a problem you have, it is best to treat for 3 months. And the revolution cured the cats ear mites as well as one of my dogs ear problem...it also protects against heart worm.

I once had to deal with a major infestation and spent lots of $ on flea bombs for the house, flea shampoos and collars, All without much success! I then went to the local vet and bought Advantage drops for the dog and it did'nt take long to completely clear up the problem! I have since tried other simular products but they proved out to be of little or no help!

Collars and shampoo dont really work. The shampoo might kill whats on the dog but the fleas are still in your home. Frontline Plus will work on the animal but you also have to treat the house so they stop biting you.

Buy Borax in the cleaning isle at the grocer. Get several boxes. Apply it to your floors and fabric covered furniture. Leave it on a few days. It causes the fleas to dry out and die, and kills the eggs. The stuff is cheap and effective. Apply liberally.

do not wash your dog 5x/week!! he needs to go to the groomer,, you need to vacuum thoroughly, and flea bomb the house ( this is not expensive) then apply FRONTLINE or k9ADVANIX - per instructions on the box.... do not,,, i repeat do not use two different types of flea stuff on your pet at the same time...... remember to vacuum daily after the flea bombing.
