If I were you I'd get this information from the nearest raceway (eg. ECR). I'm sure there are people there who are willing to talk to you.

Just a pointer - make sure you make it clear to any adult that you understand the importance of your education etc. People will run a mile if you tell them that's all you want to do... even if it is all you want to do.

Good luck.

Try going to the NASCAR web site and the driving schools suponsered by the race drivers. Check with your local Motor Vehicle or Highway Patrol or local police station for a defensive driving course. Sure you are too young for your driver license, yet, if you asked for a professional to assist you in learning, it shows you are going about it the right way. And you might just get the opportunity to drive a real car on a prctice area at one of the Motor Vehicle Safety Departments? You may not be able to drive on the streets, but some places have go-carts, like small cars limited to a track that you can get practice on. Nothing like the real big things but still, if there isn't anyone else tehre, you can prctice parking, and just normal driving; to get use to the same movements you need in the big cars. Good luck.

Start out in a grass roots racing class like street stock or bombers(or whatever they call them at those tracks). You are probably old enough to drive a race car now. I'm not familiar with the rules down there, but you could race at most tracks here in the states. Save your money and don't go to a racing school right away. No use spending all that money that could be put into your race car and no use if you find that you aren't cut out to drive. Racing schools are to fine tune your technique. All the racing schools in the world will be of no use if you don't have the raw talent
