Do you mean from sitting in chair to leaving or to take once the perm rods are in place? This will vary on both depending on the length and thickness off your hair, anything from 1.5 hours to 4 hours

It depends on the size of the rods, the length of the hair, and the speed of the person doing it. For example it takes me about 30 minutes to wrap 6 inch hair around white rods (which is about average speed for someone that's still in school). An experienced, practiced cosmetologist could probably do it in 20 minutes. Yellow rods are much smaller, and it takes me about 50 minutes. Longer hair takes longer as well. Then add another 30-45 minutes for processing, rinsing, and taking out the rods. All in all a perm will usually take at least an hour, possibly 2, maybe even 3 or 4 if you're getting a spiral perm or if you have long hair and want tight curls. Ask the stylist how long it will take once you've discussed how much curl you want.

depends on the length of hair, wrapping technique, and if the person has been doing it awhile. I can do a regular wrap and have processed in an hou to hour and half. Longer hair or spiral wraps take me a little bit longer but i've been doing this for years. I would plan for atleast a couple of hours.

It depends on the length of hair, the thickness and how fast your hairdresser can roll those rods in. Could be anywhere from two to four hrs.
