This is my personal experience: I have known this girl since I was in Grade 5, by then I was 10 years old. By then, I did not have any feelings for her, and if there is, it was just a lust that lasts for a weekend. For four years I did not keep an eye on her; I did not do things for her; I was not very kind to her; I was not even a gentleman to her. And now I regret it.. Why? I have been fallin in love with her for the past half a year and I have told her my feeling but she said she just want to be friends. I reckon it is because of me being not very polite to her for all this while.. I have been trying very hard for the past six months to be a gentleman to her.
What I am saying is that if I took FOUR years to develop a special feeling for her, why is it impossible for her to do the same to me?

it didnt took you 4 years to develop... it did took you 4 yrs to realize it... you mght have a very strong feelings for her at the start... you just dont want to acknowledge it... your doin anything you possibly could just to annoy her... and for wut? for her to pay attention to you... and now, congratulations! she realize you exist... but she only wants to be friends... well try to win her... show her that you really mean it and we will never know... she might fall for you... girls just need some time to realize our feelings... goodluck ^.~
