Kids fall over all the time, it is part of growing up, too many nosey do gooder's around with nothing better to do, if it was so bloody urgent, why did they not take him to hospital or doctors, don't let it bother you.

A head injury can be very serious, even fatal, so when a child bangs his head it is important to be cautious. Never take it lightly. Concussion can take a few hours to come on, so although your son seemed all right at the time, he may have gone unconscious later.
You don't say if there was a visible mark on his head, but if there was a swelling of any size then you were right to go to the doctors.
Of course, most times there's nothing serious wrong and it looks like this was the case this time, which is why you're angry and saying it was a waste of time; but how would you feel today if your son had suddenly collapsed last night and you ended up dialling 999?

She was likly worried about liability. If your child had been injured on her property, and she did nothing, she would have been liable for medical care and held accountable by law enforcement.
If you came to get the child, then some condition came up later, as often happens with head trauma, she could honestly claim she did tell you to take him to the doctor.
Basically a case of CYA.

Yes but if he had delayed concussion you would have been grateful. If they had not contacted you abd he had become ill later then you would have been suing them. He is your son and it is a shame you thought more about possible inconvenience to you than about him.
