I emailed (morning at his work email address) my boyfriend to pick me up from the airport after work. He replied back to me in the afternoon and said he cant coz he is going to his parents that night. I suspect he was just making up a story. He apologized but still for some reason, I felt he was just making an excuse. Should I listen to myself?

Sounds like a lame excuse to me. Trust yourself & give him a little time to apreciate you.

Is your instinct usually right? Still, though, if he's cheating on you he probably would not take the chance of you discovering it, but ultimately there is a very simple answer: call him at his parents to tell him you got back safely. If he's there, all's good and you know he's great, if he's not then...
One thing: (I'm a bit paranoid, but well, you might as well do this) if he isn't there, do not give him the chance of saying he went out to get milk or whatever. Ask if he was there at all, and if you get the kind of answer like "he's in the shower" call back later. If you don't you'll always wonder. Good luck, and I hope he will be at his parents.

I'm with Viv; call him at his parents to let him know you've arrived home safely. If he's there, great, if he's not, bad luck!

Hang on a minute - is this the same guy that was your 'best friend with privileges' five days ago? Does he know he's been promoted to boyfriend? Maybe he needs a bit of time to adjust to the shift from friend to boyfriend?

I'd be a little confused. Couldn't he wait to go to his parents after picking you up? I think being his girlfriend makes you important enough to meet at the airport. Gee, I'm kinda mad at him for telling you that. I'd suggest your instincts know somethings up.
Of course, he could be innocent. But nah...bs, pick me up from the airport!

Good luck!
heh

It does sound like a lame excuse. It seems like he could have picked you up and then gone to his familiy's house.Try to find out if it was some sort of special occassion in his family like a parents Birthday or something like .that.Let it out in the open and talk to him about it. I'm sure you will be able to resolve this.

while you're a classic looking female and he's no longer the objective of love for a gaggle of girls then you certainly can assume sure, he does such as you. The question could be does he such as you for greater desirable than what he can use you for or does he truthfully have the desire to make you satisfied on the same time as getting no longer something in return. only be staggering to him, no video games and ask him how he feels approximately you.

Look, if all was right, you wouldn't be suspicious. I have instincts telling me things all the time, and they ALWAYS turn out right. You don't want to slap yourself in the face in a month or so, for not believing your guts.

Our first instincts are usually right, but only you can feel that, if you picked that up from him, than more than likely he was making an excuse.

Ok! What you want it to be? Just to prove it. Take a cab, go right to his mother place and see for yourself. You don't have to show yourself in front of them.if you still want your relationship! Or you can ask him to take you home with him. Anyway it over, just trust him.
