I got an offer from US based software company, I paid money for H1B visa and employer will take care of getting H1B approval. Is any chance of not getting H1B approval. And possibly when wil I come to know my H1B application is approved Since the quota opens for india only on Oct. Thanks in advance for your ans.

There are simply too many variables and you have provided too little information, but yes, it is possible that your H1B will be refused, either by USCIS upon the initial petition, or at the US foreign mission where you will be required to interview with a Consular officer before the visa could be issued.

There is a large chance that you won't get your visa because the high demand for an H-1B visa. You can try applying for jobs at Universities since they are not subject to the cap and can have as many H-1Bs as they want.
