Well, you're kind of talking about the old model of marriage, which involved a woman and a man being united for the purposes of procreation and financial support, and which worked for thousands upon thousands of years. In the modern, Western world, however, we have developed a system of marrying for love - a system that hasn't been around long enough to be considered proven.

I really don't know what kind of arrangement you're talking about, but a "sugar daddy" is mostly a pipe dream. As soon as sex is involved, feelings and attachements usually follow close behind, especially for all the but the coldest of women. Sex is designed to bond two people together and trying to keep that from happening just doesn't work. I suppose it's easier for men, who have been socialized to seperate love and sex, but by and large, it doesn't work.

If you are depending upon a man to provide for you as long as you have sex with him, without building a strong bond and relationship, then the other people who have answered this question are right - that's prostitution. If you are supporting a man as long as he has sex with you, then that is too. If you develop feelings that would interfere with the system you have set up (as I believe is inevitable) then get out before you get so attached than nothing but sorrow can come when you realize that he doesn't share your feelings.

Well, as the others have pointed out, yes, it certainly can work, and I'm sure all the prostitutes will verify this!

However, if you're in the company of someone all the time, then you're bound to develop some kind of feelings towards them. If it happens, best not to say anything or end the 'relationship' if feelings start getting in the way, cos at the end of the day, you did say that the relationship was based simply on sex and money!

For about 20 minutes, just ask Eddie Murphy or some of the other Hollywood bad boys.

Of course it can work. Ask any prostitute.
Better forget about the "developing feelings" part though.

I have a feeling your solutions will fall less than the stereotype that Stein became a woman and that lesbians will make lengthy time period commitments than gay adult adult males. both way, it is only undesirable stereotyping concerning socially built gender norms.

I guess it could work if you aren't looking for happiness and you just want to be a hooker for the rest of your life.

That is the definition of prostitution. It's illegal in the US (except Nevada, outside of Las Vegas that is).
