WRONG.
Most people who follow ISLAM are VERY good people.
A small percentage are demanding that the Q'uran be taken literally as the word of Allah with NO interpretation.
Basicly the literalists are trying to hijack the religion of Islam as the literalists hijacked Christianity in the 4-6th centuries.
The inquisition done by the Catholics was every bit as bad as what is being done by the extremists in Islam.
The first terrorists are responsible for killing as many people as Hitler did.
The problem happens is when people see a certain scripture as the true word of God or Allah. The scriptures were divinely inspired; but ALL of them came through the consciousness of a human being. No matter how wise or spiritually evolved that person is; it is impossible for the human mind to fully comprehend the transcended.

A rational person would say no. Although today it is increasingly being hijacked by radicals and nut bars who have also included martyrdom bombings and terror to the equation. The moderate and civilized elements are being squeezed out and radical and extremists are currently in vogue. Such a beautiful and peaceful one being twisted to political means.
capn edib look in your history books and see the massacres in India in the Mughal era. they dwarf any anytime anywhere.

And no other religion in the world ever did any of those things....nobody has ever been stoned to death in another religion....or flogged, whipped, or tortured.....or mutilated, say...by crucifixion? ALL religions are simply excuses for man to do violence upon his fellow man and "feel ok" about it.

These instructions exactly correspond with the International law. And every nation and every person or set of people has the right to self defence and to defend his/their property.-----as per law of the land.
