"I don't know that Jews should be regarded as citizens, nor should they be regarded as patriotic."

would that be acceptible to you? Now substitute the word "atheists" in place of Jews, and it was said by George H.W. Bush. He never apologized. Is that acceptible?

I am sure that if he had said this about Jews it would not have been accepted at the time, it would have been a huge scandal with strong reactions. But because it was "just" atheists, nobody gave a damn then and nobody gives a damn now. According to a recent survey in the U.S. atheists are the least trusted group. It sounds like they think we're barely human.

Of course such a statement is not acceptable, regardless of the religious group involved.

The fact that Mr. Bush is endowed with a sub-human, underdeveloped brain is a reality. Now, leaving him aside, what do you expect from the President of a Nation which has the words 'IN GOD WE TRUST' written on their currency? ;) Democracy? Enlightenment? Tolerance?....Too many Americans are bigots...it's good to know though that some of them know how to use their brains; hopefully their number will increase as time passes;)

Your logic is insane. First you raise the stakes by talking about Jews and then replace the word with atheists. This is a rubbish example - atheists are not a race of people who genocide was carried out against - these two groups, one a race and religion, the other a group banded by an undefined ideology. Of course the preident can say what he likes about atheists.

As for patriotism. If george wanted to be really insulting he would have called them patriotic, because patriotism really is moronic, esepcially flag wavers.

A traitor to the Democratic occasion because it exists today ... in any different case a valiant guy who ought to under no circumstances have imagined the course that his occasion could be taken in, partly because of the fact of his death, which they shamelessly make the main to this present day. it is equivalent to the 'what could Jesus do' gimmick ... i'm thinking he could agree together with his appointed apostles, particularly Paul, who reported in the event that they gained't paintings, enable them to no longer consume. and don't get me began on his perspectives on homosexuality, which - remarkably - are equivalent to what God espoused. think of that. yet enable no longer a hero be respected for his positions on concerns relating his workplace, yet on subject concerns he could (by skill of people who declare as lots) help today if he have been alive ... like Jesus could, ya comprehend? wink, wink.

I'm just waiting for the nuke attack to happen before he leaves office. So he can then say " look America, we are under attack. I will save you, give me all your freedoms! ". At this point Patriot Act II will go into affect, the new draft will go into effect, we will become a police state, Bush will remain in office under dictatorship and all we know will change.

If this doesn't happen, then we get to see another part of revelations from the Bible come true. A passage mentions a non named "woman riding the beast". Well we all know the beast is the USA as it mentions that the beast goes to Babylon. Well that is Iraq today. Woman riding the beast...meaning in control. So that means woman president....oops....Hillary is running.

It isn't his place to judge ones religion or belief. Yes this country was founded on freedom of religion and yes, it was church based but, it has expanded over the years to include all beliefs.

Well he could have lied to the American people like that other President that said "I never had sexual relations with that woman". Oh wait...I forgot. Democrat Presidents get a bye on matters like that. Just like Democrat Presidents that start wars in serbia.

O you who believe! be maintainers of justice, bearers of witness of Allah's sake, though it may be against your own selves or (your) parents or near relatives; if he be rich or poor, Allah is nearer to them both in compassion; therefore do not follow (your) low desires, lest you deviate; and if you swerve or turn aside, then surely Allah is aware of what you do.
