Although they claim to offer no more warranty than required by the Magnuson-Moss act, Sturm - Ruger will fix virtually any problem with any of their firearms, (assuming it wasn't damaged by mis-treatment) at no charge other than shipping, regardless of its age. The express terms of the warranty are somewhat vague. I have never heard of a Ruger owner being left out in the cold with a problem. Catalogs/ Owners Manuals, and info on warranty repair may be requested at this address:

Ruger does not claim to have any warranty on anything, but they are one of the best companies ever when it comes to helping customers with problems with Ruger firearms. I have 6 Rugers and recommend Ruger rifles to everyone.

Ruger invked the Magnuson-Moss Act. This act was passed by Congress in the mid-70s and states that no comapny shall be required by the federal government to offere a warranty. However, states may enforce their own warrant rules at their discretion. Ruger advises you to check with your state. This matters little, because Ruger will do almost anyhting to satisfy a customer-just to avoid a lawsuit.

Bill Ruger's company is legendary about that even if the expressed warranty is void they will usually fix for shipping costs.
great American company. I have only talked to 2 people that ever had to do something like send a ruger back. One was a mini 14 that the owner just didnt like the way the stock was fitted and made..worked perfect but to him looked bad...sent it back witha letter and got a new stock fitted and sent back and a hat and a nice letter saying thanks for your business good company

There sure is. Ruger has a reputation for going above and beyond the call where their warranty is concerned.
