This depends on which branch of service you go into, cuz your basic training will be a different length. While you are in basic, you don't get barely any money. You don't actually get paid until you finish, and I think they gave me about $1000 (this was in that Marine Corps, I was a PFC E-2, and 13 years ago). After leave, I went to my MOS school and got a fat check for back pay. Some of the Privates E-1 there got "NO PAY DUE" checks, which meant they were overpaid when they finished basic training. The didn't get any money for another two weeks.
Things might be a little different now, but don't count on getting any money while you are at recruit training. They take money away from you to buy your uniforms, plane tickets, and other necessary stuff. Your best bet would be to go to the recruiting station and ask one of the people that just got back how much they received.
A pay grade is E-1, E-2, E-3, O-1 and corresponds to a rank.

depends on your pay grade, Home of Record and marital status.
other factors include: the GI Bill, Thrift Savings Plan and any othert voluntary allotments or deductions, such as Dental insurance for your spouse/kids.
expect 6-8 weeks before you actually see that first paycheck, though.. and it will have some other involunatry deductions such as the stuff you have to buy when you get there.

It depends on your pay grade (your rank and time in service), whether or not you claim dependents, and many other factors. If you go to military.com or MilitaryOneSource you should be able to find pay charts that can help you narrow it down.
