WOW! What a leap of pure logic! I guess that if I look at the ebola virus I could ask, who in their right mind would want to design such a nasty evil little virus. Well, as those who believe in the BS that is intelligent design think that only their god can have designed anything, then I guess it's their god that designed such a nasty little killer bug.
Here's a better idea though. Read a few books on evolution, and natural selection. If you do, then you'd realise it's quite obvious how such camoflage has evolved.

First, you're attempting to make an argument AGAINST Evolution. That doesn't equate to an argument FOR Creationism.
But even if it did, natural camoflage seems one of the easiest to understand evolutionary traits. Simple, hundreds of millions of years ago the insects that slightly resembled a leaf (maybe a bit more green or slightly elongated) tended to survive, while their brothers and sisters that looked like a big, juicy snack, were eaten. The surviving leaf-like insects passed on their trait to the next generation and the process started over again. Since insects typically live only a few days or weeks, billions of generations would repeat the process until the the insect looks just like a leaf!

It's selection over millions of years, the bugs that looked less leaf like would have been more easily spotted and eaten leaving only the ones who blended in to reproduce and compound the camoflage effect...what's hard to understand here?

It's a GREAT example of natural selection. The bugs that DIDN'T have a good defense mechanism were EATEN and therefore became extinct. We are left with only the ones who adapted biologically to their environment.

This does not prove anything for intelligent design. Just that it is even more ridiculous than I thought. I don't care what you say nobody is intelligent enough to design these type of things. In fact this only helps to confirm evolution

Evolution is the opposite of chance. Ask yourself instead, when a bug can hide better than other bugs, what are its odds at survival? Better or worse? Will it pass on its characteristics to its offspring?

Intelligent design as a term, implies, a set pattern or process for construction of that which is designed. Which in turn can be reverse engineered. So it is an inaccurate description.

When Aids Virus, Ebola Virus, Bird Flu was designed, is it because God is too free? Or is it because humans are so corrupted ancient virus that does not do harm to human beings mutated with other viruses to be harmful to humans? Why did bacterias get more and more resistance to anti-biotic? Is it because it is trying to survive and hence gets itself mutated to be more resistant? Or was it because God is trying to find who will be the last man standing?
Try to look at both side of the coin :P

Hi.
I'm not here to impress my beliefs on you....i am answering because i appreciate the arts as well as nature per se..
I learned that most artworks derived their devices by immitating nature....artist like picasso...but I believe that nature reflects the God who made them.
Now if artists are creative.
God is absolute.

Let me ask you this: Did God favor this insect over its predator? If so, why didn't He just eliminate the predator? In design and engineering, one would first try to eliminate a problem before resorting to a work around.
