I met a real nice guy last summer and have kept in touch for about 6 months since we live in different states. The first time I met him was around Aug. of last year and we had an amazing time together. We ended up hooking up and still keep in touch on a weekly bases. I actually saw him for the 2nd time last week and ended up having another memorable night with him. I just don't know why he would ask me to stay with him for a second time and make passionate love to me 2 weeks after we had a huge argument about our status. He thought I was acting like we were more then friends but I made it clear to him that I wasnt.
I know he's a good guy and doesn't sleep but why would he suddenly grab me out of no where and start kissing me oh so passionately if I'm not what he's looking for???

Okay, so we've established that he's sexually attracted to you. That doesn't mean he wants anything committed or monogamous with you.

He probably gets off on having a girl out of town, because it is a nice change of pace from his girlfriend back at home.

Without knowing this man personally, it's hard to distinguish his motives. It sounds to me like this relationship jumped off more as a physical one than an emotional one. You seem to be wanting to be friends, but end up getting physical. You set boundaries, it seems, but then you both cross them. With you agreeing to sleep with him the past few times you've been with him, it sounds to me like this is something he's come to expect from you. I see no emotional ties to you, but physical only at this point.

You have to decide what it's going to be. Is this a friendship with physical romping on the side? Or are you seriously considering this man for a real relationship? If you want to keep it on a friendship basis with sex on the side, then you cannot expect anything emotional or a commitment from the man. If you choose otherwise, it would be a good idea to make that known. I think there's some communication between you two that hasn't come out yet.

Come out from under the covers and talk. See where this thing is going. Then you'll have a better idea of what you're dealing with here, ok?

He's torn between worrying about scaring you away by not conforming to whatever it is you say you want and trying to make what he can out of the relationship. He wants something, and obviously it's more than just a one-night stand, or he would have just had you the one time and left it at that. He's more than likely afraid that you'll get claustrophobic and reject him if he tries to nail you down. Why not clear the air and tell him what it is you want from him and ask the same of him. Be honest and if it doesn't come up level, no harm done! You've both had a couple of great nights and walk away feeling like you can be friends...
