i have been stuttering for more than 10years now and i don't know how to get rid of it,plz help me .?

hi,i am varun.i have been stammering when i was in 5th class and now i am Business Management(P.G) but i haven't got rid of this bad thing.i am really ashamed of it and beacause of it i can not participate in any of the seminars,group discussions etc.etc.I am very angry with myself.Once i went to a speech therapist and she said mine stuttering was not genetical or because of some vocal disfunction and it will go away automatically with time, but mine condition remains the same.Now there is no courage in me to talk with strangers,friends or even my family.I am sure that you people can surely help me out,i will be very greatful to you if you can get me out of this curse.waiting eagerly for your reply!

Hey there.

Firstly, i hate to say this but there is no known cure for stuttering/ stammering, nor is there any known cspecific ause for it.

There is a worldwide speech programme called the McGuire Programme. Its run by 'recovering stammerers' and therefore every on the course (staff and students) once uncontrollably stammered and therefore know exactly how you feel (unlike speech therapists).

The McGuire Programme teaches you tools in which you learn over a 4 day residental course a completely new way in speaking (concerning different ways in breathing, thinking, and attitudes towards communication).

have a look at the website i have attached. It is really hard work, but it works! you can get true control over your speech and i think it has a current 75% success rate (the people who aren't successful seem to be not ready to put in the work required).

Additionally, this course also offers you 'life long' support through group meetings, phone lists, follow up courses and internet support.

First of all,THERE IS NO CURE! Hell scientist cannot even figure it out,the best doctors in the world cannot figure it out,NOBODY KNOWS what causes stuttering.Theres nothing to go on. Speech Therapist in my opinion are just money sucking wanna be doctors who are only taught from people who have no clue about stuttering,again NOBODY KNOWS! Speech Therapist are a joke.Reason I say that is because every "Stutter" is different,every stutter "Stutters" in their own unique way.A Speech Therapist or should I say a real Speech Therapist knows this and would find that unique "Point of Cause" should I say, and destroy it.But like I said,NOBODY KNOWS. THERE IS KNOW CURE. Speech Therapist are more for kids and not adults.
I have a system that worked for me and might work for you. Get a book,something you like,read out loud for 2 hours everyday out loud.Read slow,like in "ROBOT" speed.Then as time goes your mind/brain what have you will speed up without you knowing it and you may become fluent within a month.But you have to read outloud 2 hours straight everyday for a month.When reading,you cannot take a piss break,water break,whatever,you have to continually read for a full straight 2 hours. I saw a device demonstrated on a daytime talk show, possibly Oprah Winfrey, that when inserted into the ear allows a stutterer to speak perfectly. I am so sorry that I cannot remember the name of the device. If you log onto Oprah.com you could probably e mail the program and find out. Or just start scouring the Internet. I will pray that the Lord shows you where to look for it. I know you'll find it.

There is a clinic in Koeln, Germany with 100% success rate
of curing this inconvenience instantly.
There are also other doctors and clinics in the same country
with next to zero rate of success and a lot of "scientific" excuses
why is it so with their "methods" as well as other excuses why

First start doing meditation and pranayama early in the morning.
For this go to a park nearby your place. Sit facing east to do this.
Now start chanting Gayatri Mantra mentally first and loudly later and in a slow manner. Chanting of Gayatri Mantra will remove your stuttering within a day or two.

I sympathize for you and I hope you can get over this , but you definetely need serious medical help , a speech therapist and maybe some psychological help.

Read poetry out loud....it will help you to control the stuttering....if that doesn't work, ask your doctor about a device that you put in your ear, similar to a hearing aid, which will help you hear yourself and make you speak clearer.

I have no personal experience of this but I have heard that if you take singing lessons you have a better than 50% chance of at least improving.
