I work with this guy in a large room with many desks and chairs. There is one day of the week where I start my shift before him. No matter how many empty seats there are in the room he would always come and sit in the empty one next to me. Lately though, I've found whenever I've asked him a question or have asked him for say a piece of gum, he would have a shake in his voice and also he would hand over the packet of gum to me and his hands would be shaking so uncontrollably. Why is that? I've caught him staring at me a few times. I don't know if people are talking why we are always sitting together. We talk all the time when we sit together. We've never talked about dating or anything like that. He's very handsome and has a nice nose. Help me to understand him?

I say that he probably likes you and perhaps you make him a little nervous. Ask him to go to a movie with you. Make sure your work place allows employees to date each other. People DO gossip.
I asked my husband your Q, he said he might be going home and fantasizing about you. That's a mans point of view. They always think about SEX!

It sounds like he might find you attractive and is nervous.
BUT! I would avoid dating anyone that you work with... that can get messy and is probably against the "rules". Most companies have policies against such things.
