I have a parrot ,a beautiful macaw at that, this bird ,has never in his 7 years of life, been caged . he lives free. Now that you have made this example ,I feel very badly for the women who are to be covered from head to toe and many the face too. I wish Muslim men would have to do the same thing. while the women are probably beautiful some of these men I have seen should cover up for sure the way they look!

You pretended as ex muslima but in fact you are not an islamic follower. You see muslima as a caged parrot because you want to discredit islamic followers and Islam itself.Do you hate Islam ?
Muslima is not like a caged parrot. She can go anywhere she likes. But her clothes should be in a muslima tradition as has been said in the holy qur'an that her privy should be covered.By wearing a muslima clothes someone can make a difference with other woman of other religion follower. It will save her too, because her privy can not be seen by an ill will guy.Now muslima clothes have many varieties and so many attractive colors.

I'm a Muslim and i'm covered and one thing i can tell you for sure is that i'm not a 'caged parrot'. The human body is sacred and should be treated as such. I respect my body as a trust from God, and i wouldn't want to abuse this trust. I don't need to prettied up like barbie to be appreciated. Those women who reveal themselves to the world are the trapped ones, who have to do everything under the sun to change what they think is the only thing people will appreciate them for - their outer image.
Women have every ability to be great and that doesnt always include sharing their body.
I am truly free.

If we want to know what anyone is like, we have to only to observe on what he bestows his care and what sides of his own nature he cultivates and nourishes. ---Each person reveals himself by what he says and does, by the ways he responds to events, by what he reads and watches, and generally, by the way he lives life. By observing anyone, we can see what that person is like.
Do not hate. Hatred is a form of subjective involvement that binds you to the hated object.---Hatred is a product of evil. To the extent you allow yourself to feel hatred, to that extent you become the instrument of evil. When you hate someone you draw that person to you. Is that what you want? To eliminate the connection, dismiss the person from your thoughts. To combat evil, respond with goodness.
Open your mind, and please read John L Esposito's ---"What Everyone Needs to Know About Islam". Hope this will make you a better person!

I know several Muslim women who don't dress in the Muslim tradition and who are intelligent and sociable.
I would say you can't judge an entire class of people by stereotypes.

I think you shouldn't judge other people's living styles.
When I see women in very high heels I think they are trying to break their legs just for the joy of men's eyes. Isn't that ridiculous enough? (I used to wear very high heels and I know the risks).
There are incomprehensible things in every religion and/or culture.

I think you have a twisted perspectve on things and if you hate Islam so much you should free yourself from it and try to live a nice happy life. That may involve counseling for your anger, and hatred. Peace.

when I see a woman in a bikini i think what a great source of entertainment she is for men(to satisfy their sick minds)
Apart frm that I think that if a women chooses to fully cover herself up its her freedom to dress as she wants as is her free choice to wear scant clothings
u c unlike many women a muslim woman cosiders her body to be sacred and not far all men to entertain
