There have been other religions that have been banned by one country or another. However, this questioner quite accurately implies that Satan is particularly interested in persecuting Jehovah's Witnesses.
What outward reason do these secular governments have, that sets apart Jehovah's Witnesses from other self-described "Christians"? It cannot be denied that Jehovah's Witnesses are often banned because of their work of preaching the "good news", that is "the Gospel".
(2 Timothy 4:2-5) Preach the word, be at it urgently in favorable season, in troublesome season, reprove, reprimand, exhort, with all long-suffering and art of teaching. For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
Even countries that ostensibly claim religious freedom will nevertheless ban Jehovah's Witnesses by inventing wild (otherwise laughably untrue) accusations against them. For example, Syria's ban is explained "officially" by that government's patently false claim that Jehovah's Witnesses are 'Zionists' and "politically motivated". Not even a reasonable anti-Witness critic believes such obvious lies.

Jews were banned from most of Russia and Western Europe for a time. Christianity was banned in Japan until the 19th Century. All polytheistic and pagan religions were banned all together with all the other Near and Far Eastern religions. Singapore bans Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Unification Church. Just to name a few

The Russian Orthodox Church has been trying to get all Western churches banned from activities there, but they have been targeting JWs, specifically, because their activities before the fall of the USSR. Their first convention, just months after the fall brought together tens of thousands of them that the government didn't know about. It really shook up the state church.
In the 80s, Greece declared that only marriages performed in the Greek Orthodox Church was legal, declaring all children of of religions as illegitimate.
The witnesses were banned in the U.S. twice. Certain sects of the Mormons are currently banned, so obvious reasons.

My goodness yes. Just look it up on the internet. I doubt there's any country that is only banning Jehovah's Witnesses and no one else. I think that every country that bans JW's also bans Seventh Day Adventists and Mormons, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Usually, countries that ban religions ban every religion that isn't "mainstream". And some non-Christian countries ban ALL Christian religions.

I think Shia Islam is banned in some Sunni countries, but i can't state it for a fact.
Also some communist countries banned ALL religions at one time.
Japan cracked down on Christianity during the 1800's but possibly didn't ban it altogether.
I'm sure there are many more examples.

There is a web site called F18 News and it discusses alot of religions being persecuted but Jehovah's Witnesses seem to experience alot more because of their neutrality. Hope this helps.

Hi,
Like the others have said, Scientology is banned in countries like Germany, because they don't see it as a religion there.
Most religions are banned in China, because it's a communist party and religion doesn't "fit" with communist ideas. Especially the Fou Dong is banned there.

Yes...Mormons. It wasn't banished from the United States, per se, but it from the birth of the "religion" up until the 1960's or something that it was ok to hunt and kill them.
