I don't think that the actual act of masturbation is forbidden in all religions. With Christianity, it isn't necessarily the act, it is what goes along with it. Fantasizing or Lusting after someone is the sin. In the Book of Matthew, 5:28 Jesus says,
(NASB:) "but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
So usually masturbation is done while viewing porn or imagining some sort of sexual fantasy with someone, which the Bible says is wrong. I suppose that if you were able to masturbate without thinking lustful thoughts, you would not be breaking any rules.

Judaism and Christianity do not. Onan's sin was that he disobeyed God, not that he masturbated.

"Lev 15:16-18 clearly talk about masturbation or solo sex and partner sex and clearly not a sin, only a wash up for ceremonial worship. No sin offering is required at all, only a cleaning up, because when you masturbate or have partner sex in the dark it may get messy and get on you and your clothes. So clean up before ceremonial worship".

...and from the looks of your other questions, you might want to get out a little more. I'm just sayin'.

It's not forbidden in all religions.
Remember 95% of men do it on average 4.5 times per week.
5% lie about it.

So go ahead and enjoy.

Its not. Religions just try to suppress the sexual needs and sexuality in general.. but its hasn't written anywhere particularly about masturbation.

Keep up the good work.

Its alla bout a man called Onan.

A few lines is the closest the Bible comes to mentioning masturbation — and actually, the story is about something else altogether.

It's written in the Bible...man mustn't do that; God gave him those seeds to procreate, not for the wrong pleasure almost all human beings are running after...
