Piece o cake. . .dinosaurs laid eggs long before chickens evolved. Actually some of the earliest known multicellular creatures are known mainly from their egg cases.

the chicken (or whatever it may be) because it had to lay it, if the egg came first, where did it come from...then again where did the chicken come from, oh well who knows and who cares. :)

Evolution of dinosaurs most likely. Every mammal evolved from a whale that grew legs after the dinosaurs extinct. Fish species are one of the oldest creatures recorded. Just to let you know.
