Just so you know, I'm not some stuck-up, old fashioned, 80 year old, lol... I'm 16, and just wondering what everyone thinks...

By 'corrupted', I mean a wide range of issues.
1. All the wars and famine - how can rich people (and celebrities) just walk around in Gucci or Prada while there are people starving??
2. Perversion of so many things
3. Even simple, basic etiquette is being forgotten "please" and "thank you".
etc etc

Anyone agree?

No. Think of the middle ages. Everything was disgusting and out of control then. People were getting slaughtered left and right for different reasons every day. Marauding gangs of thieves were all over the place, pedophilia and rape wasn't as big of a deal, the 'class system' forced most people to live like garbage with no hope of ever getting out of it and the justice system was a much bigger joke than it is today. We may have some major problems now but we are much better off as a whole than in the past.

becoming more and more corrupted? No - however I think there is a growing acceptance toward corruption. There was a time people would run a person out on a rail for being corrupt. Now it's just another story in the headlines.

Eh, no. Unfortunately, I think we've always been this horrible.

Look back in history, and you will find these 'crimes' you mentioned being committed everywhere, for thousands of years.

It just seems that, for some reason, our intellect has grown, affording us some amazing technology. But I don't think our hearts and spirits have grown with it, and we are bound to fall apart if we don't catch up with this technology. That is why it seems worse.

As much as corruption will increase development will increase automatically. One said and I quote that “corruption is an integral part of society an honest man is a liability". I agree with this bitter truth.

I think that there has always been a corrupted side to society and people suffering. Please and thank you can be used for warped purposes as well. Let's not forget that there is good out there.

Keep studying your history little girl, you'll discover we aren't all that special now. Things were happening before you and I were born, and will continue long after you and I have been forgotten.

I don’t think society is getting more corrupt, but I think society is becoming more blatantly corrupt. I do not think the repercussions are as sever.
