Having a HS diploma means u went through all of high school the hard way and still got the grades u needed. A HSED just means you made up for what you missed, proving yourself through a series of tests, not by actually participating in class and structure.

It still doesn't make too much of a difference though. Colleges, employment agencies, and the military don't discriminate between the two. It does signal a possibility of a dangerous criminal record (by statistical evidence), but if your record's intact, you'll be OK.
