Just like when we poop, our body is getting rid of waste. The eye has a natural moisture to protect the eye... its called your tears! YAY! Your eyelid acts like a windshield wiper and when working with your tears, they clean the eye. Usually this drains naturally into a duct, but occasionally it pops out... poooop... haha...
I have no idea what its called, but eye boogers isn't too far off I'm sure!
