Religions are meant to provide the most important answers in the world. One religion would not fit every single mentality. Hence there have to be different religions. The main ones and the minor ones together cover the whole spectrum of possibilities. They allow something for each individual, even the secular one who might choose to "believe' in atheism, science or rationalism. All those after all are forms of legitimate beliefs.
Since a born again Christian would not accept easily the views of a radical Moslem, and the other way around, there have to be both faiths. And because there are many other groups of people who wouldn't accept either system, they would seek representation in a different group. In other words, there are as many paths to the Light, as there are people, so that each person would have the chance to find his own way.
That happens to be my understanding of the issue. Hope it helps.

Religions are separate from each other, because in reality, no god exists. Religions are inventions of humans. If you wish, go ahead and invent your own religion. If you make a convincing performance of it, you will find followers. And if you can make your followers teach your religion to others, especially to their children, you made it. Your religion will haunt the world for a long time to come.
On the other hand, if there really was a god with any godly attributes, the world obviously would only have one religion, not many.

Please add more to your question. If you mean "Why are the religions seperate from the government?" it is in order to restrain the government from demanding that all people follow a particular belief. If you mean why are they seperate from each other - then I would say that it's largely a matter of the fact that different individuals have different perspectives on what is true and good and valid, and our multitude of religions reflects this difference.

first of all, my I recommend which you lose the 'dominant' faith jargon? it fairly is an over-simplification and it is likewise incorrect for a good number of the international's inhabitants. Judaism is in consistent communicate with ALL of its custom. you will understand the Christianized version of our unique texts, with all of its wee edits that create 'prophecies' for Jesus to fulfill. We even have layers of commentaries on those unique texts, and commentaries on the commentaries, etc. Jewish custom is careful approximately the way it amends itself. Take animal sacrifice. besides being the wider cultural prepare of the time, it made a good number of expertise for nomadic shepherds. It did not artwork so nicely during the Babylonian exile, while the 1st Temple became into destroyed and the individuals have been unfolded. they had to come again up with an option, which became into prayer, to fulfill those commandments. To an intruder, it could make extra experience to basically get rid of the verses commanding Temple sacrifice. To Jews, which would be dishonoring Torah. relatively, we understand that the prayer centers thoroughly fulfill the commandments.

It is a matter of education, exposure and openmindedness. I would like to see more acceptance and peaceful co-existence. I do think that each religion is unique and there are boundaries because there are differences. What Buddhists believe is different from Baptists, what Jews believe is different from Baha'is, etc. There should be comparative religion classes at school.
Because of our fear of religion and spirituality, it is impossible to get someone into the community and out of the classroom with any working knowledge of religion. They also do not encourage different languages, a knowledge of international history and exposure to other cultures. Foreign exchanges, international volunteer work, Tesol, CUSO, the Peace Corps and other programs encourage diversity, acceptance and sometimes a knowledge of one's own original culture.

Do you mean they are in individual group ? Long long ago, there is only 1 language. From the bible, there are many facts about life. 1 example, the building of a tower for men would wanted to go heaven. It is not successful, because God do not allow it & break down the communication between men by having different languages. For details, read the bible.

It's they concept of polythieism or multiple God's. also govt's found it very effective to allow multiple religons because it keeps the populaces divided , so they can continue ruling.
Remember religon is where God ends and man begins.
