No they won't.
They will just let Israel do it and when Iran retaliates, here comes Uncle Dictator and his 34th Mistake.

In April? Why April? But will it happen at all in the near future?
I think that there is the will to do this with some people in the upper echelons of the U.S. government.
Here is a link to a fascinating article that came out today about the possibility of the United States attacking Iran:
http://www.atlanticfreepress.com/content/view/810/32/
According to the article, the U.S. has sent submarines to the area that might be there to 'provoke' Iran. Of course, there is no way to be sure of this.
So will it happen? I tend to think the answer is 'NO' for the time being. Attacking Iran would plunge the region into a mess that would make the situation in Iraq look simple and easy. The price of gas in Western nations would skyrocket - 10 bucks a gallon or more. This would be devastating to the economy.
Bush might want to do this. But I would think that cooler heads will prevail. People would tell him that he will would go down as the worst and most damaging leader in American history if he did this. No one would want to be held accountable for what would happen if Iran were attacked.

Do you really think the USA would even think of attacking Iran?
Look at the trouble they've has in Iraq. Compared to Iran, Iraq is a tiny backwater nation.
Iran has 3 times the population, a well trained army, oodles of money, weapons and excellent trading relations with China, Russia and most European nations.
Congress would never approve the action or the money for such a foolish venture.
If the USA wants more wars to fight, let 'em go after North Korea.

Someone has to do something about insane Archidinejad, its obvious that he is buying nuclear components from his allies,if Archi gets his way well,he can wipe Israel out or USA can back up Israel by a attack on Iran,Syria and Lebanon at the same time but the domino effect is that Iran is allies with Russia and China may get pulled in.I believe the US troops in Iraq are getting ready to attack Iran, why are they there for then?

It would be really really stupid. But then, this is George Bush we're talking about. If it does happen, US will be on its own. Israel might try a limited strike, but they would be risking everything and for what? After the failure against Hizbullah, another war in Lebanon is likely, but I don't think they'll do anything against Iran directly, and certainly not to suit the plans of a president who will be history in two years time.
EDIT
Mr US, you talk about Iran threatening the US with nuclear holocaust, they don't even have nuclear weapons - the US is the only country which has used them, and here you are happily wishing the destruction of tens of millions of people because of an event a quarter of a century ago. It was no fun for the hostages, but in the end they were all freed unharmed!
Do you actually recognise Iranians or other Muslims as human beings at all?

They got it coming in my mind. Radical Islamic militants kidnapped and terrorized 52 Americans for 444 days and held them hostage while the entire event was sanctioned by the government of Iran, President Bani Sadr, and the Ayatollah Khomeini, and the entire Muslim world. (Khomeini was given refuge by our good friends in France until he was able to gain momentum and stage a coup de tau to oust the Shah with the help of the Islamic Revolution. The Shah never returned to Iran and died of cancer in the U.S., while an impotent President Jimmy Carter did nothing. This lack of decision gave the green light for a wave of Islamic-fascist terrorist attacks against the US and citizens of the US for the next 20 years until George Bush has the guts to visit the same upon our oppressors.)
Now the same "peaceful religion" is threatening nuclear holocaust with the US. When do you suppose would be a good time to take care of this problem? Blowing Iran off the map is only 27 years over due, but attacking and totally annihilating Iran in April sounds good to me!

USA will not attack Iran unless she is forced to by Iranian actions but if Iran continues to allow insurgents to cross the border into Iraq perhaps she will and should do

I see the yanks are out in force to defend the Israelis again.
I suppose they do have something in common. Marching into someone elses home and saying "this is ours now". I dont find myself siding with muslims very often but they've got my support.
Ive met them travelling and they are some of the most unpleasant people ive ever met. And it was a sentiment shared by many people.

The U.S. is not going to be the one to attack Iran. Israel will be the one to be worried about. If Iran keeps up its rhetoric and successfully gets nuclear capabilities. Israel lives under the slogan never again and they mean NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Iran has been at war with the US since they took US citizens hostage. The US blissfully refused to respond until Reagan, but has been asleep ever since.
We should have attacked before the 444 days were up. Big time.
