You probably have an eye infection.

It may be just 'leftover symptoms' from the flu you had, or it could be that because your immune system was lowered by the flu you have an 'infection' in your eyes. You should AT LEAST talk to a nurse about this, and if you need to see a doctor, you'll be sent to one, or you could be given the proper medication by the nurse if that nurse is a 'nurse practitioner.' I don't know why, but for some reason the 'nurse' is the 'right person' to see first here, where usually I would tell you to see a doctor ...

There are lots of possibilities. If it is just watery without discharge it might be just viral. In that case you can wash your eyes with Normal Saline, if you have sticky yellow discharge it can be bacterial and in that case you need to see a doctor and get some eye drop.I mean antibiotics eye drops...If this is the first time you had it and you are not suffering from allergy it is less likely to be hey fever....I suggest go to a chemist and get some Normal Saline and wash them and then see your doctor.

It could be a type of pink eye or something like that. Are you still sick with the flu? I have seen people who have this problem and their doctors tell them that it's an allergy.

it is pink eye. Go to the doctor and get the antibiotic for it . Animals go blind with this disease if left unattended.

It really sounds like pink eye. You have an infection. mucus/puss is coming out of your eyes.
