Need more info, why is there no hope? Are you a Filipina? The embassy does not perform any weddings I am aware of.

US embassies cannot marry people. You can of course get married in the Philippines, but must do so under Philippine law. Here is how it is done, from the US embassy Manila's web page:

U.S. Embassies do not perform weddings. Make sure you are careful who you listen to. Perhaps they were talking about obtaining an Affidavit in Lieu of Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage. U.S. immigration law will generally recognize weddings validly performed under foreign law, with some exceptions (the most common one being that we don't recognize polygamy). So, your fiance's prior marriage MUST be terminated by death or divorce.

Embassy isn't a church. Get her a fiancee visa and get married in the states. It's the easiest way.

Yes, proceed to the US embassy and confer with the diplomats land relate your ordeal. Be sure though no impediments to the marriage exists.

don't lose hope......... if you are an American citizen go straigth to your embassy they'll always find an answer for you no matter what..
