As the previous answer said....take some camera's to bits and re-assemble. Repeat and familiarise with as many brands and makes as you can.

If you scout ebay you often find digi cams sold as 'spares or repair' which you can pick up very cheaply. You will need a good quality miniature screwdriver set, ideally a static mat to work on (about £10 and with a wrist strap), some air duster or an airbrushing mini compressor if your planning this long term and a bit of patience.

You will also need to contact the likes of big brand names such as Fujifilm to enquire about their spare parts (out of warranty) suppliers. If you contact these spare parts suppliers and companies like Fuji, you can try and discuss becoming a repairs agent perhaps.

The only way to learn to repair digital cameras is to work for the manufacturer. They won't share any information with third parties.

buy a book buy a cheap camera take it to bits build it up again then see if it works
