Can you download or store programs on a thumbdrive and then use it on any PC you plug it into?

To be more specific, if I download this spyware scanner, can I save it to the thumbdrive and use it for my desktop and laptop?

Some softwares can run but much of all softwares can't run because those softwares need local environment, dymanic link library, ocx, ...

yes you can.

If that's the installation file, you'll have to install it into both your desktop and laptop to use it
