Honey, if there was a sure-fire way to make that happen I think it would have been done long b4 now! No dear, there are absolutely no guarantees in a relationship. No way. It would be nice though, huh. I'm not entirely sure we would want there to be, you know what I mean? I think the biggest reason that we are so fickle in relationships is because God gave us each the gift of choice. I mean, thank God he did! But what we do with that one gift in particular, well, it's just down right scary I think.
Anyway, I guess what I'm really saying here is, if it is meant to be, it will be. You can't make another person stay by cooking their favorite meal, or keeping the place up. The other person will stay if they feel it. What I mean by "it" is, if they feel love, or an attraction, or a bond. Are you pickin' up what I'm layin' down here sweety? Look, if you are feeling like you want this relationship to go on forever, then he must be feeling that way right now too, because obviously it's going well or you wouldn't be wanting it to go on forever, right? So take it one day at a time, enjoy it, don't try to analize or manipulate it, you know. Enjoy each other and live in the moment. Each day will work itself out.
Well, I hope I was of some help to you anyway. Good luck with everything OK. Your friend on line, Terry

Both should have a sense of humor about things, an ability to still laugh when bad things happen. Second, you should take the relationship one day at a time. Appreciate one another one day to the next. A favorite dish is too simplistic. It takes a lot more work than just you being a good cook to make him happy, and I'm sure you have things you wished he would do to make you happy. Give and take is the answer, with laughter, and happiness.

The one true trick to making a relationship last isn't a trick at all.......It is called communication make sure that the person you are with is someone that you will enjoy talking to for the rest of your life. Everything else finds a way of working out.

If one is not married then the only way i know is to keep of from sleeping with him.The research has clearly shown that after after aboy has slept with a girl for two three times he just loses the interest in her.personally i have carried these reserch on my friends and what they tell me is that Am through with her and it happens to another and another.Good proove is that he cant visit or call the way he used to,the number of days you used to go out reduces and he does not want to be so much in public with you.But these may not be with all guys especially those who really know how to love.

The tricks are you have to love and stand with them always and above all be awoman of INTEGRITY.there is no one i respect and like like a woman who respects herself even if it means doing it at the expense of the love she believes in.Good luck

Great Question!! I cant really add a whole lot, but I think if you can have fun with the person, while still having friends, that would be a good starting point! But It all comes down to trust!

I wouldn't think so. (wish there was though) u see people that have been together for llike 40 years then get a divorce. n u think but u were together for so long... what happened?
Everyone changes n that's the sad part, u can't stop it so if my partner stops loving me, there's nothing i can do.
Cause thats the way it works i'm afraid.

Relationships don't last forever, but I feel that great sex, an abiding love, and making hm feel special every day is a solid foundation.

well not if the other person doesn't want it to last forever but if they do then try new things, do nice things for them, talk to them and never shut them out and don't ever accuse them of doing something wrong without proof, and most of all be faithful

I ask myself that question all the time.
Wouldn't that be awesome? Unfortunetely, time happens, life changes, kids happen, jobs, money problems happen, wrinkles come up, frustration, boredom...I guess the best to do is start each day anew and try your best, keep talking, keep kissing, keep smiling, that'll help for sure!!!
