The fentanyl patch is a strong pain relieving patch that is released over time, usually changed every three days. No matter what medication there is, there are always risks and side affects listed and associated. But it does not mean that you will get them. Such as if you read the side effects of tylenol, advil, etc it doesnt mean that you get them, and it isnt very often you hear of people with side effects.

YES......

DON'T use it, unless you are a burn patient or cancer patient, or if you have a terminal illness.

I was suffering terrible migraines, and my mother (who had died that same year from cancer) had left some of her patches in my bathroom from when she suffered burns in a fire.

I put on the patch, hoping it would work....I felt nothing.
I heated it up with a hair dryer so my body would absorb it.....I almost died.
I turned white as a sheet, and passed out on the bed. I almost stopped breathing completely.
My husband took me to the hospital. I don't know how I was able to walk to the car, but I got there somehow.

What I did was wrong anyway...using someone elses medication with no medical supervision. It was an awful experience.

I would think there would be a number of drugs on the market that won't kill you so quickly. What kind of pain do you have?
