how to i overcome this. he has lied to me in the past and it is haunting me all the time. when he is late getting home i go into a panic. its like i will never be able to trust him. how can i stop letting this ruin my life without breaking up with him.

Tell him to bring his cell phone with him so you can call him when he's late comming home.
You have every right to feel this way since he has lied to you in the past. You've lost trust in him and he has to gain it back.
If he gets mad about the phone thing, do it anyways because you are his girlfriend and you worry about him getting in late. Dont say its because you dont trust him because then for sure he would get angry.

Either you decide he is trustworthy and you convince yourself, or, if you can't do that, breaking up is the only thing to do!!!

well without trust you will not be able to have a good relationship. you either need to learn to trust him or rethink the whole relationship

thats not healthy for you. u cant trust your partner then there is no point for a relationship to advance. askl him to stop what hes doing. if he keeps doing it then sooner or later u get tired of him. unless you're whiped. but you're not whiped are you?

then dump him u u still think he cheating once anyone cheats then they should be out the door immediately (that's what i do if my gf cheats)
