The thing is, he says he has to follow the stupid syllabus thingy, our music school has these dumb rules. Anyway, can someone just tell me the proper techniques to sing vibrato?

You can't tell someone how to sing with vibrato. I mean, you could trill very fast with your voice purposely, but that won't sound the same.
In a nutshell, vibrato is the by-product of good singing. By that I mean that by using proper breathing techniques (breathing from your diaphram, breathing on the breath) will naturally bring vibrato to your tone. That may not be the ONLY aspect involved, but breathing is really the #1 most important part of singing. Almost everything else follows from that.
If he/she says you're lacking vibrato, then you have to ask him/her to help you with some breathing exercises and other vocal techniques. You say that "the school has these stupid rules"... is this a choir teacher, and not a vocal coach? If it is a music teacher at school, s/he may not always have the time to work extra with you, but five minutes now and then is not an extraordinary request!
Good luck! :)

Your voice is probable plenty more acceptable than maximum women on your choir. Like human beings say, vibrato is likely no longer a foul component. notwithstanding, you may sensible it, and use it at the same time as it sounds correct. attempt making a music somewhat softer than the different women next time. it would want to help. If no longer, ask your choir instructor. perhaps she provides you with some information or allow you to recognize if that's honestly hurting the sound of the soprano area.

It can come naturally, but if you are using proper breath support, it should be easier to master. I sing, and I am starting to get the hang of voice vibrato, and its because I use good breath support.

You can think of singing ha with rapidity, and then faster and faster without stopping the "Ah". Actually, with proper placement and enough support and enthusiasm, vibrato is natural. What you might try do is copy someone who has it whose voice is like yours.

So ask your coach to help develop your vibrato. That's what you're paying him for, isn't it?
