lemon juice is used to flavor things. it would be much more expensive if they used real lemons. dish doap has real lemons for the grease cutting effects of the citrus.

Puzzling to say the least, artificial flavor, when we have more than sufficient real lemons to go around ,maybe the dishes cannot do without the cleansing properties & the fresh smell of real lemons, but we can find other sources of vitamin C & we are used to artificial flavours anyway.
