I did not write the bible; it says plainly that He`s the only way to salvation. So I had to make this clear for all the confusion this morning.

So you will find Jesus on the way to salvation. What does this have to do with believing in Jesus? It just means if you get saved you will find Jesus, it does not say if you don't believe in Jesus you will not be saved. There is more here than semantics.

Maybe you need to be saved first. Causality and correlation are not the same thing. Does the bible point out correlation or causation? You cannot say, I am a fallible human who is imperfect. In spite of this you want people to admit your interpretation without question as if you are the Christ. It is argumentative and it does not promote the good work Jesus does.

Well that is just the "wonderful" way that most of todays christians like to "teach" people. Instead of fucussing on God and his character, how He has handled things throughout time and how that fits in with his character and the ultimate goal of finally ridding the world of sin..just tell them "you better believe in jesus or you are going to hell". Yep, that will really make people want to get to know Jesus..it will either make them so scared of hell that they will pretend they care about Jesus, forgetting that they cannot fool God...or it will make people run away and hate christians, God and the whole kit and kaboodle.

Do you realize that ever "christian" who does what you just did, must have discouraged someone away from God already..and do you know that you will have to listen as God lets you know the souls you caused to be lost?

Have you read the Bible? I mean really studied Christ and how He did things? Did you study the commandments and know that you just broke one..saying something like that is NOT loving one another...

I left a chatroom where people do things just the way you did.."christian" people..who have ripped apart their brothers and sisters in there with that attitude...

By the way..if someone accepts christ today and dies straight after, then accepting christ is all they need to do to be saved..if it was genuine..but for us, you included, we have accepted Him and we have such a huge responsibility..we have to do more..we have to find out what else we must do in order to be truly saved up until we die.
Today's christianity is nothing like what Jesus taught....but I am not surprised that I even find these kinds of "christians" in here.
Are you so sure you will go to heaven? Is any one of us? we have the hope..mind you we have to truly look in the mirror and check for one speck or blemish...and telling people what you did is truly a horrendous thing..whether it boils down to that or not..it is NOT the whole truth.

Hell and Heaven is mentioned in all the religions of the world so why does Jesus Christ become the only authority or gate to reach these two places?
In this global world why don't you think of this theory - God is one, but he has many sons, through whom he has tried to reach us time and again. Each religion accepted different sons as their teacher and follow their teachings. If you are broad minded enough to read the holy books of other religions, you will see that most of the teachings are the same. Follow Christ if you like but do not undermine or underestimate other sons ( Religions) of god. God does not show favoritism among his children so who are you or for that matter anybody who says "their religion is the greatest" to ridicule other sons.
Believing in the existence of a greater power than man and the thought that we have to face the supreme god one day is enough to keep our actions under check. Be good, dont hurt others intentionally, dont cheat and respect all living things including animals and plants then anybody can avoid hell.

Did you know that the Bible says that a lot of people who believe in Jesus and call Him Lord will go to Hell?

See Matt. 7:21

Triforce had it half right. There are tribes and reclusive folks that may have never heard of Jesus, and I don't believe that they are fated to hell. Almost every culture recognizes some sort of "being" or spirit and have "religious" customs and prayers.

You are judged on what you know. YOU specifically know the word of Christ and if you reject it, the presummably you are fated.

Having said that, this isn't really the place to get contorvercial issues stirred up. Question/comments like these surely cause strife. It's more for "What's the atomic number of nickle?", or my cat is shedding, what's up with that. type of things.

I may get pinged for my answer, I have before, but I also ping folks for being haters or insulting others (even if I don't agree with their point of view, they have a right to their opinion).

Let's keep it above board folks, geeze.

Yes, I know and I believe in Jesus. Jesus has made it so simple for people to go to heaven just by believing in Him and repenting. But people don't believe it's so simple cos they want to depend on their own merits and strengths and goodness and not humble enough to admit their sins before a holy God. They still want to follow rules and laws and regulations and good works which will not get anyone anywhere unless he/she believes in Jesus first. Only the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins and who has no sins? Can the most charitable man ever make it to heaven without Christ and the answer is no. We all fall short of His glory and all have sinned. Everyone is guilty before God from Adam's time. We can only be saved by faith and this is the simplest way of being saved right? God doesn't judge on the no. of bad deeds or good deeds we do but on whether we believe Jesus and His sacrifice on the Cross. Once we believe all sins are wiped away! That's God's grace. We are saved by grace thru faith and it is not of ourselves but a gift of God. Salvation can only come by God's grace and it's a gift to us not earned by us by our good deeds nor can our evil deeds disqualify us once we accepted Jesus as Saviour and Lord.

Yes proof that Jesus is Lord is out there. Ever seen an exorcism, the only way to get a demon out is through prayers to Lord Jesus. THE ONLY WAY. Even indian shaman's use Jesus' name to do exorcisms. All this makes more sense for people who've read the bible and understand. People who want proof don't take years of seriously searching for answers. If they don't care it's useless to prove anything to them. Go to church, read the bible, and do research it'll make sense afterwords.

The Unbelievers could have the Bible force fed down their throats and digest it (intellectually), but unless they had ears to hear through faith and understanding by the word of God, they're still all lost and confused about what life's about because Satan and his gang have got their minds so en-snarled in such a demonic web of lust and greed and deceit that they will never be able to escape the black hole of torment for which they lay their lives down so unwittingly in vain just to wallow in the muck and mire of self pity and despair and sorrows for the world with which they were born into has laid bare their tragic defeat of which they will know no end.

I know that's the myth...the fact is probably more like, "you'll cease to exist and decay...that's it, no more...the end."

You may not have written the bible, but men did. They also editted it so that it had the message that they wanted it to have. Men make mistakes.

You can't believe that the bible is valid, logically, anyway. Follow this train of thought if you can: The bible is the word of god. How do you know that the bible is the word of god? Because the bible tells you its the word of god. That makes it the word of god. But how do you know the bible is the word of god? Because the bible tells you its the word of god. Therefore it must be the word of god. But how do you know its the word of god?...the beat goes on...

Oh, REALLY? So I too going to challenge you, proof to me, go plainly by book is not enough to convince people.

And it make me wonder: do you really study in depth or whether you are plainly go by book.

Now finally I know that why is so difficult to get harmonise among religion, that's due to such ignorance to force the teaching to other's throat.
