When you told her not to buy you things, she probably thought you were just saying it in the polite way people do.
Sounds like you need to be more direct. Something like, "I appreciate that you want to give me gifts to make me happy, but I really need you to understand that it's having the opposite effect."
You could even mention that you wonder about your future with someone who spends money like water. That would probably scare her into stopping!

Tell her that she doesn't need to buy you anything to make you happy. That you're happy with just her, and that you don't need anything else. Maybe that should help. But don;t let her get rid of the stuff you have now. That is if you really want to keep it.

It could be that she is insecure and that is her way of trying to buy your love and keep you with her. Try suggesting to her that she doesn't need to do that, and instead put the money aside so you can do things together that you both can enjoy

Tell her you appreciate all the things she has given you, but she shouldn't be buying anything else, because her love is all you need....hopefully she will get the hint.

You're not too clear with who your "gal" is, however you need to tell her "no mas". Tell her to show her love by understanding that you want it to stop. Just tell it like it is. BEST WISHES.

Don't complain so much when you have such a filial daughter who would buy things for you. If she did not buy anything for you, all her relatives' tongue would start wagging that she did not care about you. So what do you want your poor daughter to do? Just bask in your happiness and don't think too much... ...

tell her that you like the fact that she thinks of you to buy you somethings, but that she doesn't need to buy you stuff all the time.maybe she thinks that if she buys you stuff all the time that it will keep you from wanting to find someone else.

Tell her seriously to stop. If she doesn't listen, return any new gifts from her from now on. If she insist on giving, junk them in her presence.

Its probably a misguided way of showing you she loves you,and she may see your turning away the gifts as you turning away her love so be careful.
