If we affirm God is loving how can God not suffer? The alternative is an indifferent God? or a God who is unaware of the suffering? Many theologians began to discuss the idea of a suffering God after the Holocaust.

God suffers everyday when people say No to His Son as their means of Salvation. He also suffers when His children who believe in Him refuse to live in His will. We hurt ourselves by both actions and in turn it hurts Him. And if you were the one that had to suffer like Jesus did for those 3 days, you might find that eternity is not long enough to forget the pain, especially when you carry the holes in your hands, feet and side for eternity.

Only if He wants to. Otherwise, how can God be injured in any way? He is transcendental, and absolute. People try to say that God is just like an ordinary human, and can be made to suffer pain or loss. Who has the power to make God suffer? God can kill, but God cannot be killed. God can cause us to suffer, but we cannot cause Him to suffer. We have power to cause each other to suffer, but not God.

God doesn't suffer as we as humans may think. I'm sure His hearts breaks because this world is worse than Sodom & Gommarah. And soon He will put a stop to all of this wickedness! He is a loving God, full of forgiveness and His wisdom never stops. Don't spend another moment in asking God to forgive you of your sins and enjoy His special qualities that He has given us by His grace.

If I am a father, and my son is not good, I suffer, and my son suffers also. Similarly, we are all sons of God, and we are pained, we cause pain to God also. In that sense He suffer, but do not think He suffer according to your material experience, not like that.
