"Wouldnt i love anyone who was friendly and showed interest in me? "

What? No. Love is first and foremost something YOU feel, not something someone else does. While people showing interest in you may be thrilling, and encouraging, those feelings are not necessarily accompanied by the devotion and admiration that characterize love.

If the idea of being away from a particular person for an extended period absolutely horrifies you, that's a strong indication that the feelings atleast in the realm of love.

love isn't just for one person. You love your friends (or at least should), but in a pleutonic way (which means non-romantical). As far as romance goes, my opinion is that love is with the person that you can't live without, that is your best friend and makes you happy about yourself. Whether that's your spouse, fiance, or gf/bf.

Love is when you can spend everyday, for an extended period of time, with someone and not plot to kill them, not even once. (ok, there was that one time.) Love is "dammit, I can't sleep tonight because he's not here." And also, standing in line for 4 hours in the cold to buy him that video game consol that he really really wants.

Love is an adjective, not a verb. An "emotion" not something you "do" ya know?
