Butterfly . Born as caterpillar first , then gets into a (egg) shell and again born as a butterfly and has wings but not a bird .

A butterfly! It is first born from an egg. Then it weaves a pupa around it. After a fortnight(2 weeks) it tears its way out of the pupa in the form of a butterfly. A butterfly is an insect, not a bird. It all makes sense.
