Stillness, keep your weight on your right foot if your a righty..left if you putt left handed.Gripping the putter lightly vs firm will let you get the ball rolling better. A good practice method for feel is to putt looking at the cup and the line you want to roll the ball on. Its just like throwing a ball...in that case yer looking at the person your throwing to.Out on the course; think of listining to the ball drop in the cup before looking up....this will help you to keep your head down. I like holding the putter up a little off the ground. your choice there but if the ball moved on its own theres no penilty if the putter wasnt touching the ground before hand.

Putting is the hardest part of the game. Each person gets a stance that works best for him. Basically, though, you want to line up the tips of your feet with the hole, and keep a soft but steady grip on the putter. Your practice put should be the same one use for the real deal.
On undulating greens your positioning will vary depending on how many breaks you see in your lie.

I give a lot of putting lessons, the main thing i say is that your feet are irrelevant, they dont have an affect on the stroke. Make sure your shoulders are square, but apart from that just ensure that your comfortable over the ball. As for the stroke itself, decceleration is the biggest cause of poor putts. Decceleration puts side-spin on the ball, so just make sure you accelerate smoothly through the ball.
Hope this helps

Hello Katie...One thing that is important but not mentioned in putting tips to often is ball position. You will have to practice stroking the ball in different positions. I struggled with putting for years and realized that my stroke needed the ball back in my stance to prevent pulls. Work on your touch ... find your ideal position & listen for it to drop. It is the hardest part of the game but also the most rewarding. Happy Putting !!

attempt and get a stable attitude on the hollow, learn all hills and divots interior the floor that could stunt your ball from moving at a stable velocity to realize your hollow. Use your hips and be waiting to confirm the ball below your eyes. yet practising is fairly prepared besides. user-friendly issues which contain including a cup on the floor and putting it into which could grant you a stable seize on the eco-friendly. additionally a putter with a great aim line and sufficient sturdiness to artwork on even the toughest classes is stable for the intermediate point and enormous for experts besides.

Katie practice two kinds of putting . Practice long putting the most that will save you a lot of three putts getting it close to the hole on your first putt . Practice lots of three foot putts there the ones we should not miss . Good Luck Mate **

any grip will do. try out some, the best 1 is the one you feel comfy with. always remember one of the most impt ting is: feel factor. u might want to putt witout ur gloves. to practise, putt balls from over 15feet to the edge of a green helps in managing ur putting distance...then always practise 3foot putts. right after putting, do not look up. .
