Pathetic, but . . .
Resources and services cross borders all the time, why not LABOR?
Dope dealers wouldn't exist if Americans weren't such dope fiends. There are no crack addicts in Bolivia, nor Columbia - unless it's an American on vacation.

We want to be Friends too, but we can't support paying for ALl your kids you have, or police all the violence you create and on it goes, I wish we were all God fearing then we could end these things, but you also take the jobs away in this country. it cost on average 5 to 10 thousands dollars for a foreign person to come to this country and have a back ground check and two to 5 years to become a legal alien, and many want to e legal just because they can walk across the border. Is that fair? is that a neighbor to the rest of the world community? to give you preference just because you can cross. look at the cost of the medical system m and the school system in southern California how do we handle these things and then the drug gangs our police can't fight with how can we be be neighbors if you allow this to continue? you want to b good neighbors then help stop these problems and police it yourselves then we can be, believe in god and that all are created equal and we might have a chance. And the job I have 46% of my paycheck goes to pay for those on welfare, I can't get on it. Can I come to your house and take a few hundred bucks to pay my bills with your money without asking you? I didn't think so...

As long as you don't depreciate our neighborhoods, learn english and don't take advantage of the government system, its ok with me. Do not live off welfare and have 5 more kids so you get more money. Paint y our house atleast every 10 years (and not orange!). For some reason, it seems as though mexicans begin to take over a neighborhood and then it becomes the ghetto. Do not allow 15 families in one house. Respect americans. Do not get in gangs of mexicans or become one of "those" trashy mexicans. Work hard and earn a living. Also, do not come across the border illegally!

Let me guess you don't have a problem with illegal aliens crossing into our country so they can be exploited as cheap labor and provided substandard living conditions by crooked individuals out to make a buck. Or maybe you don't mind the fact that a disproportionate amount of illegal aliens are criminals and have no problem violating the laws that have been established in this nation. No that can't be it. I know, you don't mind the fact that the state of California is going broke because they can't keep up with the large financial burden that has been placed upon them by non tax paying illegal aliens. Give me a break. Your bleeding heart will be the death of this country. If people want to come here legally good for them. I don't have a problem with that. I think their LEGAL presence is good for our nation. But I am sick and tired of individuals whose first act as a resident of this country is to break a law (i.e. entering the country without the consent of the federal government).

How about we have an open door policy with every single country and just let anybody who wants to enter this country in? The door should be closed. If you wanna come in just knock. We are very nice people and we'll talk to you. Eventually we will probably let you in. People should not be rewarded for trying to sneak through the back door.

I have no problem with mexican immigrants. It's what comes with them that brings up issues. We are suffering a heavy drug trade from the mexican border, and many border towns are heavily corrupted from the drug trade and violence is widespread. Our goal is to keep the flow of drugs and violence out of our country. We do not need dirty money flooding our border towns and states and causing problems for us down the road. If we can control the border and proceed under our country's laws we can both benefit. At the current status, the poor mexicans are bringing a lot of unwanted side effects with them such as poverty, drugs, violence, and gangs. This needs to be kept at a minimum to insure a beneficial relationship.

I'd be happy to have you as a neighbor as long as you entered the country legally. Why is it that there are armed Mexican troops on their southern border but they have a fit if the United States wants to do the same on their southern border?

You can be neighbors! I have no problem with being neighbors seeing as Mexico is connected to America geographically!! However No Amnesty!! If you want to come work and live here do it the legal way!! We aren't protesting on your streets!! We aren't burning your flag! We aren't asking your government to change it's laws to pacify us! Do the Same thank you!

No. Tell your government to forget about nationalization laws in Mexico (which are 10 times more stringent than the United States') and see how well that goes over. It is every country's right to protect its citizens and itself from invaders.
Now when you go to the Mexican Parliament, I want the right to drive in Mexico, the right to work without paying taxes, the right to free health care for me and my children, the right to sue anyone in Mexico for anything, and legal representation for any legal dispute. I also want all government facilities to post English signs, I don't want to be responsible for any traffic violations, I want to be able to bring drugs in your country without anyone checking my bags at the border, and I don't want to be called a foreigner or illegal or anything that I have not pre-determined to be negative sounding as it regards to me. I also want the right to fill up your streets and wave the American flag when I think a Mexican national is being discriminatory to me and my fellow Americans.

I don't share any of the hostility the others seem to have for you, but I would say that you shouldn't expect an open door policy.
Americans, humans in general for that matter, are going to naturally resist sharing. I don't think it's unreasonable for Mexicans to sneak in seeking a better life, but it's totally expected that Americans will resist.
The idea that was proposed a little while ago to imprison illegals was ludicrous.
