where does the mountains, river or simply the stone got their names? Did God told eve and adam?

Like why do we call mountains mountains? Did God told eve and adam one by one how the living and non living things be named?

people just named it.. it had nothing to do with god.

however, if you wanna get all biblical about it... god in Genesis told adam not to eat the TREE of knowledge.... well now you know where trees come from.
