That's a terribly difficult question that nobody really knows the answer to. When middle school kids first start talking about love it's a whole other world compared to when someone in high school or college (or beyond) says that they love someone. Each time you love and are hurt the only real thing that fixes it is a new, stronger love. For some people they simply never have to keep searching and thus that would be their real love. As far as whether or not it's lust... well, for me it was straight forward. I spoke to someone for two years online and met them finally in person. I had kind of liked them in person and had seen pictures, but when I actually met them in person it was sort of overwhelming. If you can sit down with someone and have a long conversation about various things for a while or work on something together for an extended period of time without really even thinking about wanting something from the other, I think you have love. Love is just appreciating the other for what they bring into your life. Try just snuggling with someone and talking with them, if you can keep that up there's a good chance that you're at least partly in the right direction of love.

love is when you can't stop thinking of that one person and they are all you can think of.....and every time u hear that one love song u can't help but to think of danceing with that one person and ummm when you see ppl that are loveing each other you wish that was you and someone
so yea i think that's what love is
