That was food poisoning. After you expelled everything in your stomach, you started puking up bile.

There is nothing you can do for food poisoning. I had a bad case for 4 days. I couldn't even drink water despite the fact that I was so dehydrated.

The yellow-green liquid that you threw up was probably just bile. It's produced by your liver and is naturally in your stomach all the time to help you digest fat. The reason you throw up bile is because even though you don't have any food in your stomach, your GI tract is still trying to get rid of whatever bacteria or virus or whatever is irritating it. Since you don't have anything left in there, you throw up bile. The reason it burns your gums and tongue is because of the gastric acid, which is VERY strong! The pH is about 2, and it's really rough on your esophagus and teeth, so make sure you brush them after!

I'm sure the answer about the hydrochloric acid burning the tissues is right; that's what causes heartburn. But he didn't mention that with that much acid in your stomach it could cause an ulcer (a sore) in the stomach lining - and that sore can eat through the stomach wall also, which is life-threatening. If you eat things that irritate it, you can cough up blood, and can bleed to death if you're not treated in a hospital.

Sounds like food poisining. Vomit burns because of hydrocloric acid (stomach acid.)

I would say that you better go see another doctor. Do you notice this happening after eating a high fat meal? If so it could be gallbladder disease and from what I understand some people experience pain so bad that it brings them to their knees. It could also be cardiac related. If your doctor is not taking your symptoms seriously then I would find one that would listen to you.

If you probably got sick from the restaurant you could have sued them for serving food that isn't in a good condition if not that you are probably sick or allergic to something you eat.
