Yes, your friend is going to be much better off accepting herself and focusing on being HEALTHY rather than taking diet drugs, which are extremely dangerous especially (and ironically) for people who are very overweight. If your friend would stop focusing on her weight and appearance and instead focus on being active every day (exercising regularly, etc.) and eating healthy foods, she would BE healthy, even if she was overweight. Not only that, but she would probably lose weight in the process.
I lost 40 pounds myself twelve years ago, and I did it by giving up on "dieting" and thinking about being skinny and instead just concentrating on making smart choices for my health. I wasn't even trying to lose the weight -- I just wanted to feel better, feel healthy. I started to walk more every day, I started to lift weights to feel stronger, and I started to eat a healthier diet. I lost 40 pounds and I've never gained it back -- and it was EASY. All it took was a different mental focus. A focus on health instead of weight.
Encourage your friend to keep going to the gym with you and to eat healthy foods. Discourage her from taking those pills, which could kill her or permanently affect her health. And you might want to talk to her about maybe seeing a mental health counselor to help her deal with some of her body image issues.
You sound like an awesome friend -- she's so lucky to have you in her life!

I've been a low carber for many years. I will be able to inform you first off that it's healthful. Additionally, are not making this right into a fad diet. Hold it actual. Write down all of the low carb foods that you understand of besides meat. Everyone knows that animal protein is low carb. Asparagus is low carb, avocado is low carb, strawberries are low carb. Zuchini, bell peppers, spinach, brocolli, cabbage, eggs, cheese, coconut milk are all low carb but there are more, many greater than what I just listed. Appreciate the importance of fat. Skip the transfats but other fat comparable to olive oil, peanut oil, coconut oil, butter are all just right healthy fats. Do not shy away from them when you consider that they're just right for you. Ignore what you will have realized previously about fat. My cholesterol is 149 with exemplary ratios my triglycerides are 49. Did I drop some weight? Sure I did indeedie doody daddy. Why am I nonetheless on this food plan. Due to the fact that i like the meals, i really like the fact that my achy joints now not ache. My itchy dermis not itches. I've great bone mass and i used to be ultimately in a position to complete a 5K run on the age of forty nine...All whilst residing a low carb subculture.

I think it is truly unfair for people to mock others simply based on weight.
Your friend seems to try too hard to please others while making matters worse for herself. You're completely right when you say your friend should accept herself and love herself the way she is BUT that doesn't mean she should give up on trying to lose the weight (being overweight can cause many health problems, diabetes for example). She should lose the weight safely (intense cardio and a healthy diet consisting with lots of fruits and vegetables, you cannot do one without the other, they go hand in hand, diet pills don't work, they are but a waste of valuable money and are certainly not recommended due to health risks!). There are many healthy alternatives to losing weight without the use of drugs, of course, she should not expect to lose it over night, it takes time, so she needs to be patient and you need to keep being a supportive friend to her as you have.

human beings are naturally not supposed to store so much extra energy in there bodies. this is why there are so many medical problems with overweight people, it is not natural. the human genome has not changed just the quantity, availability and the quality of the food items that a lot of people choose to enjoy. so to say that a person should just accept themselves as "fat" is ludicrous.
some people may have a genetic disposition for obesity but if you don't eat those high calories foods and sugary foods that gene will never express itself.

its all about confidence!! if she doesnt have it then nobody else can make her feel good with herself.. pls tell her that crying is not the answer.when someone makes fun at her, she must see it as a positive compliment.. if people cant accept her, hell with them! nobody can accept her but her! she's an individual and she has the right to live peacefully and happy...
help her build her confidence as a friend... she doesnt need to drink those diet pills... exercise is better and eating enough is better. not too much indulgence.. i hope u learned something from me. pls tell her too that physical appearance is nothing if you dont have a good heart.

Look. Everyone I know has been really successful on this diet. It's more like starving yourself but, I'm going to throw in a tip. Eat light, very light. I've used to be really heavy and I've lost alot of weight.
IT'S CALLED MASTER CLEANSER, it's all natural stuff. No pills, it's just bottled water with mixed in ingridence. It's also known as the "beyonce diet"...
