Question for Muslims..?

Question

What do I have to do to become/after I become a Muslim? Any websites that are easy to understand or forums would be great.

I am not sure I really want to be one because I am really happy as a Pagan but I would like to know more about your beliefs. Thanks in advance!

Among the beauties of Islam is the fact that in this religion there are no intermediaries in the relationship between a person and his Lord. Entering this religion does not involve any special ceremonies or procedures that need to be done in front of any other person, nor does it require the consent of any specific people. Becoming Muslim is very easy and anyone can do it even if he is all alone in the desert or in a locked room. All it takes is to say two beautiful sentences which sum up the meaning of Islam and which include the statement that a person is the slave of his Lord and that he submits himself to Him and recognizes that He is his God and Helper and Protector Who decrees for him whatever He wills; and that Muhammad is the slave and Messenger of Allaah whom he must follow with regard to what was revealed to him from Allaah, for obeying the Messenger is part of obeying Allaah. Whoever utters these twin statements of faith, with conviction and believing in them, becomes a Muslim, sharing all the rights and duties that other Muslims have. After that he can start straight away to do the things that Allaah has made obligatory, such as the five daily prayers at the right times, fasting during the month of Ramadaan, and so on. From this it should be clear to you that you can become a Muslim straight away, so get up, have a shower and say: “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasooluhu (I bear witness that there is no god except Allaah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger).”

As for what you have to do, I will try to be concise and precise:
1- Belief in One God who is not begotten and does not beget
2- Belief in the notion that all messengers/Prophets were sent with the same message of One God and His worship
3- Essential pillars of Islam: Five times a day prayers, Paying the Zakat (poor-due tax), Fasting in Ramadan, Performing the Pilgrimage once if you can afford it and testifying to the Oneness of God
4- Acknowledging that it is our own acts alone that determine our fill in the hereafter and that no one can carry another's burden when the day of judgement comes
5- Acknowledging that the Injil, Zabur and Torah were originally revealed by God Himself.

The most meaningful and complete source is the Quran, which is available online on many sites... i would recommend Pickthall's translation. It answers all questions related to Islam.

Don't be fooled by the Muslims who try to convince people that Islam is a peaceful religion. It is not, just as Christianity is not. The early Christians would kill anyone who would not convert and so will the Muslims once their numbers become larger. Why not just keep on being a Pagan.

Thats what I did. And I am happy about it.

U have to completely understand... and if u dont like any thing, specially stupid thoughts of Mohmmad.. dont care. Try to be modest and purify urself with meditation, specially by praying in the morning when the world sleeps. U have to be really convince urself to do that. Thats the vital thing.

Also if you are serious you should visit a local Mosque and speak with a imam (spiritual leader)
